✨ About the Experience
Roots & Blossoming is a springtime gathering honoring where we come from and nurturing what is ready to emerge.
Through ceremonial cacao, guided drum journey, and intuitive abstract art, participants are invited into a sacred creative space to reconnect with inner wisdom, ancestral roots, and soulful expression.
This workshop is co‑facilitated by mother–daughter duo, weaving ceremony and art into a grounded, heart‑centered experience.
You’ll be guided to:

🌿 Journey inward through drum and sound
🌿 Express your inner landscape through abstract art (no experience needed)
🌿 Reflect, integrate, and take home your own original artwork
This offering is held in the spirit of Mother’s Day, honoring Mother Earth, lineage, and the ways we mother ourselves and our becoming. This event is open to women only.
All art materials are provided.

I'm Darby Carkeek-Davis, and Wayfinder Wellness and Spiritual Journeys was born from a deeply personal transformation - one that began in the sacred lands of Tulum, Mexico. The energy there stirred something in me. After experiencing ancient rituals and connecting with the spirit of the land, I felt an undeniable calling to learn more, to go deeper...and to share what I discovered with others.
Not long after, I was reminded of a special gift - a Native shaman hand drum that once belonged to my cousin, an accomplished healer who passed it on to me when she left this world. At the time, I didn't fully understand why. But as I began to walk this path, I realized she had always seen the healer in me, long before I could see it in myself.
That drum became my guide. Through drum journey work and spiritual mentorship, I began to heal. I found forgiveness, clarity, and a vision for the future - one where I offer this healing work alongside my husband Derek. I learned to listen deeply to the Earth and spirit, and I came to understand that the lessons life gave me were not setbacks, but medicine I could now offer to others.
Wayfinder is the expression of that my awakened journey. Through sacred circles, drum journeys, cacao ceremonies, sound baths, and soul-led travel experiences, I help others awaken the healer in themselves - just as I was. I hold space with love, safety, and deep reverence, so that you can feel confident, supported, and seen.
This is more than a practice. It's a remembering - of who we truly are, and the power we hold when we walk with spirit and one another.
